Cultural site "Descendants and Heritage" June 25, 2017

The Foundation has developed a large-scale program to unite the descendants of the Abramtsevo Art Circle, aimed at supporting and developing young talents, primarily artists, architects, sculptors, and aspiring artists.

Together with the Abramtsevo Museum-Reserve, with the support of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Russia and the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, the I annual Cultural Forum "Descendants and Heritage" ("Abramtsevo Art Circle") was held in 2017.

The event is unique in that for the first time the descendants of great artists – participants of the famous Abramtsevo art circle, including such famous names as Mamontov, Vrubel, Vasnetsov, Polenov, Repin, Serov, Nesterov, Prakhov, Yakunchikova, Nevrev, Korovin, Surikov, Kiselyov, Antokolsky, Ostroukhov, Levitan, and guests of the estate: Chaliapin, Stanislavsky, Shchepkin, Tolstoy, Turgenev, Saltykov-Shchedrin, Gorky, etc.

About 150 descendants and guests took part in the event. Our compatriots living in Europe and the USA came to the forum. Descendants from Argentina, Great Britain and Switzerland sent their modern works to participate in the exhibition at the estate of S.I. Mamontov in Abramtsevo.We hope that the new cultural venue for annual events will become a source of inspiration and new joint projects for young people and will arouse interest in creativity among people of different generations and interests.
