Vasnetsovs at the XIX International Art Salon "Central House of Artists-2016. The image of time"

The exhibition, which took place from March 4 to 13, 2016 in the pavilions of the Central House of Artists, brought together artists from Russia and CIS countries. Within the framework of the general theme "The Image of Time", the most expressive images of the era of change, the evolution of artistic consciousness from the 1950s to the present day were presented.

On behalf of the Vasnetsov Foundation, the Chairman of the Foundation Oleg Vasilyevich Kuznetsov, the honorary Chairman of the Foundation Olga Alekseevna Vasnetsova and the co-founder of the Foundation, the artist Elizaveta Yuryevna Vasnetsova, made an introductory speech and congratulated those present on the opening of the exhibition.

The exhibition featured works by Andrey Vasnetsov, a remarkable artist, one of the founders of the "harsh style", without which, according to experts, it is impossible to imagine Russian art of the mid-twentieth century. The organizers, within the framework of the Everyday Life project, collected his works from the funds of the International Confederation of Artists' Unions, museums and private collections.

Elizaveta Vasnetsova performed here not only as the founder of the Foundation, but above all as an artist. Elizaveta Yurievna presented her works with a separate project "My Inspiration". A painter, graphic artist and illustrator, she continues to preserve the originality of images, the creative traditions of her father, the famous artist and illustrator Yuri Vasnetsov.
