"Not a museum, but a house" ‒ this is how the theme of the meeting of the guests and the great-niece of the great artist Olga Alekseevna Vasnetsova was designated in the House-Museum of V.M. Vasnetsov as part of the "Night of Museums". There were not enough seats for everyone at the meeting in the spacious workshop on the second floor of the old house, despite pre-registration. Just as there was not enough time to tell the guests about the difficult fate of the house and the owners, among whom there were many young people and children who looked with curiosity at the room filled with famous large-scale paintings by Viktor Vasnetsov.
The moderator of the meeting, Lyudmila Vasilyevna Fedorova, Head of the She told about the history of the house and the country during the life and after the death of the artist. O.A. Vasnetsova supplemented her story with very personal content and experiences, recalled how Aunt Katya (Ekaterina Konstantinovna Vasnetsova) and uncle Vsevolod Apollinarievich came to visit this house (in which she lived at one time) in a blue navy suit. Later, Apollinarievichi (descendants of Apollinari Vasnetsov) also decided to organize a museum. The lecture was attended by representatives of the State Tretyakov Gallery: the head of small museums Tatyana Viktorovna Gafar, the leading researcher of the gallery Eleonora Viktorovna Paston.
