On May 18, 2016, the exhibition "The Family of V.M. Vasnetsov. Life and being", telling about the life of the artist's family. The exhibition features portraits of children and parents, many family documents, letters and drawings. The host of the gala evening Lyudmila Vasilyevna Fedorova, head of the The Department of Creativity of V.M. Vasnetsov of the State Tretyakov Gallery, told about the exhibition and the uniqueness of the collection on display. Honorary Chairman of the Foundation Olga Alekseevna Vasnetsova made a presentation on "Three generations ‒ one family". We were able to re-immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of this house, which is now living its own special life.
This time, the meeting at the V.M. Vasnetsov House Museum meant not only a pleasant, but also a useful pastime: one of Viktor Vasnetsov's favorite flowers, phloxes, had to be planted in the garden. The garden at the house-museum of Viktor Mikhailovich, as if in reminder of the rich nature of his homeland, Vyatka, still pleases visitors with clearings with lilies of the valley, lilac bushes, garden flowers and many trees.
The founders of the Foundation and the House Museum decided to coincide this initiative with Viktor Mikhailovich's birthday, which took place on May 15, 2016. At the entire stage of flower arranging and planting, the volunteers were accompanied by Lyudmila Fedorova, head of the department of "Research on the creativity of Viktor Vasnetsov" at the house museum, and museum staff. Descendants of the Vasnetsovs took part in the planting: Honorary Chairman and co-founder of the Foundation Olga Vasnetsova, co-founders Elena Kuznetsova and Angelina Vasnetsova, Foundation assistants Ksenia and Anton Kuznetsov, Dmitry Vasnetsov. Konstantin Nikolaevich Gertsev, with his mother Elena Romanovna and daughter Varvara, descendants of Adrian Prakhov, a friend of the Vasnetsov brothers and Olga Mamontova, joined the good start. At the end of the planting, everyone was treated to tea and pies in memory of the tea feasts in the artist's family.
