On November 7, 2017, a charity lecture from a series of talks conducted by Fr. Artemy, the confessor of the Alekseevsky Convent, was held at the PSU. The evening was dedicated to the contribution to Russian culture of S.I. Mamontov, whose descendants found their last earthly refuge in the necropolis of the Alekseevsky Monastery (40 people). The participants of the evening could see a video series of world–famous paintings painted by friends of the patron - artists V.M. Vasnetsov, Serov, Vrubel and others, listen to poems performed by O. Artemy and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the XIX century. Note that the personal history of fr. Artemia, who organized this charity evening together with the Alekseevsky Convent, is directly connected with the Mamontov circle. Aunt O.Artemia, by the will of fate, was married to the grandson of the artist Valentin Serov, who depicted in the painting "The Girl with peaches" the daughter of his friend, Vera Mamontova.
