The Foundation has developed a project to create a documentary film "The New Abramtsevsky Circle", aimed at popularizing the history of the Abramtsevsky Art Circle and its figures in Russia and abroad. The film tells about the origin of the famous circle, about its founder and participants, among whom are such famous names as Mamontov, Vrubel, Vasnetsov, Polenov, Repin, Serov, Nesterov, Prakhov, Yakunchikova, Nevrev, Korovin, Surikov, Kiselyov, Antokolsky, Ostroukhov, Levitan, as well as about the connection between Rome and the Abramtsevo estate through the prism of time and culture in Europe and Russia.
The viewer will also learn about the current descendants of famous surnames of great artists. These are our contemporaries, individuals with different destinies and values, but connected by the creative union and friendship of their distant ancestors. The filmmakers make an attempt to show the Mamontov estate and its role in modern Russian culture through the eyes of descendants and raise the question of considering the heritage of the circle in the context of the succession of generations.Russian Russian art.
